It is great that the majority of employers post that they are an Equal Opportunity Employer, but let's be honest.  The equal opportunity is only in the submission of the application.  Everything after that is not based on opportunity or being equal.

We know that you are not supposed to discriminate against any prospective employee, but at least do not blatantly disregard a justice involved individual, without knowing the charge again him or her.  Obviously, a person who has grand theft on their record, will not apply for a jewelry store position.  This individual knows the limitations in effect now.  In fact, it is the very thing that keeps them from applying to any position of prestige or responsibility, because of the unwritten opinion that society has labeled upon the justice involved.
